We still have the brisk south-easterly wind, but the lack of any rain or significant cloud has seen few new birds grounded today. The
Pectoral Sandpiper remains on Ancum Loch with the male
Blue-headed Wagtail also still there. Waders feeding on the tide-line at Westness included a
Little Stint, plus 15
Knot and 34
Dunlins among the expected commoner species. The female
Red-backed Shrike was still present, as were 13
Snow Buntings and a
Swift was over the Observatory in the afternoon. More to report tomorrow hopefully...
